Description of work: Computational Fluid (CFD) Analysis on ANSYS 19.1 was carried out for several biodiesel sources and the results were compared to the experimentally obtained ones. It was found out that Karanja blend was most suitable for replacement of conventional diesel oil.

Title of Project: “Performance Analysis of Vertical Axis Wind Turbines using CFD”

Description of work:  Computational models of H-Darrieus wind turbines were designed with modifications in designs presumed to be viable in view of the available research work. Real time wind parameters were indulged for preferable analysis. After successful computational and flow physics analysis, it was observed that with the prescribed modifications in place, the performance of the H-Darrieus rotors was computationally found to be enhanced. Another distinctive and remarkable manifestation of this paper is the consideration of a first of its kind work on dimpled H-Darrieus rotors which could ethically turnout to be a great triumph.
